The Indian approach goes beyond that, building on the premise that disclosu...

The 2 ministers in South India who were keen on development of their states were Chandrababu Naidu and S.M.Krishna of Andrapradesh & Karnataka respectively. When Karnataka had many Software companies it was C Naidu single handedly saw development of Satyam computers & other Software companies. He opened Hyderabad Airport a day before Bangalore Airport was inaugurated He also got BITS campus and there is a story behind it. He and S M Krishna despite their hard work lost in the subsequent elections.

Amaravati is a well planned greenfield city. Everything is available :Government buildings (Office and Residence), Educational institutions, Sports facilities, Hospitals. It would have been 75% completed by now if it weren’t for political interference. AP people should cherish this vision. Just see the capital of every other state in India, they are struggling with space, traffic, pollution, overcrowding etc. A planned city provides you with everything in one place. Connect Amaravati with metro or rapid transit with nearby cities of Vijaywada and Guntur. It will be a powerhouse for the state of Andhra Pradesh. CBN is a visionary leader. Respect.

I agree with Dr. Rajan on all counts. Especially import substitution bit on education. I came to the US and studied at a world class university because I couldn't get into XLRI. Had there been more XLRIs in India, I would definitely have not spent so much more money to study here in the US. In India, the competition to get into good schools is enormous and takes the focus and efforts out of actual education and research, and reduces it to focusing your faculties on cracking entrance tests. I realized the fact that it's okay I'm not smart enough to be in the top 0.001% to get into XLRI, but smart enough to be in top 1-2%. Which to my mind wasn't bad given both the quality and quantity of Indian students appearing. In a top US university, I need to be in the top 15-17% given that's the rate of acceptance of good universities here. That bolstered my chances of quality education by 17000 times. And 17% are still at very selective universities.

I don't know what's wrong with these YCP Reddy's either your ego to acknowledge or your DNA modified in such a way. If your so-called Reddy community did so much to the nation or an community why would any institution or organisation invite you to such events. Why is it so hard for you to accept something good done by other communities. I personally feel if your Reddy community is not present in Andhra ,I can bet andhra would have been so developed and fortunate than what it is now .

Hyderabad is NOT Entire A.P STATE or A.P STate isn't Hyderabad....Development has ti made in equalizer way to All regions...However, focussing on one region or place and leaving other areas to DOGS is un equal Development Ask ISB folks to analyze development in Rayalaseema, North Coast AP and other regions in A.P...Worst case scenario is Amaravati development, where preacher CBN TALKS more, neither he or his 40 ex ministers DO NOT OWN thier OWN HOME OVER IN AMARAVATHI..at the same time being A.P C.M CBN constructed is new home in Hyderabad..We LOST HYDERABAD NOW WHAT?????...Its Very easy for a 400 year OLD CITY to organically develop if a small push in that direction is given .However, it's 100% difficult to develop a GREEN FEILD CITY from scratch which do not hve population to sustain it, nor any employment generation to sustain the city..EXAMPLE, LAVASA is a FAILED city in India and the AMARAVATHI is one another case where LAKHS OF CRORES OF PUBLIC MONEY is wasted in building a green FEILD city which cannot SUSTAIN OR STAND on its feet....Politicians should NEVER TAKE DECISIONS that HURT MAJORITY OF PEPLE PEOPLE and CBN with his ARROGANT BEHAVIOR selected AMARAVATHI IGNORING 5 CRORES OF A.P PEOPLE WELLBEING......CBN as Individual cannot BLUFF all the time and he made capital AMARAVATHI to suit his Selfish and his CLAN Selfish interests..Media HYPE cannot help all the time and with social media CBN is exposed as a BLUFF MASTER... ....

What is wrong with India trying to make chips here in India for say its own needs instead of relying on Taiwan and China? Rajan does not like that idea; while back in USA, 380Billion $ are provided under the IRA for chips, batteries and greener tech -to be made in USA. But India cannot invest 10B$ for chips ? by the way, what is wrong with the audacious goal of India being a developed nation by 2047; may be we will fall short; is it not better to work for this target?
